Pup n' Pun is a small independent art business run by Bethy Mitchell in Northern Ireland, and is the data controller for the personal information described here. If you have any questions or want to exercise your rights, email me at hello@pupnpun.co.uk.
When you place an order I collect your name, email address, delivery address and order details. I use this to take payment, make and post your art, send order and delivery updates, and answer any questions. The lawful basis for this is performance of our contract, and my legitimate interest in running the shop and giving good customer service.
If you email me, I keep our correspondence so I can help you and keep a record. If you choose to opt in to hear about new collections, I will use your email to send occasional updates on the basis of your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by Pup n' Pun.
The site keeps simple, anonymous visit counts, such as how many people viewed a page each day. This uses no cookies and stores nothing that could identify you, not even your IP address, so it is not personal data.
Pup n' Pun does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your basket and favourites are saved in your own browser using local storage so the shop works, and that information stays on your device.
I only share your information with the services needed to run the shop, and only for that purpose:
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards such as UK-approved data transfer terms. I never sell your data.
I keep order and correspondence records for as long as needed to fulfil your order and handle any follow-up, and for as long as the law requires afterwards, including up to six years for tax and accounting records. Marketing emails stop as soon as you unsubscribe.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email me at hello@pupnpun.co.uk and I will sort it, usually within one month.
If you are not happy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
